Frozen in 2016

We've had a record amount of snow this winter season.
12 + inches in one month
and it's still snowing in January.

In fact, the kids have had 8 snow days this January so far due to unsafe roads.
Ice, Snow, Rain, Sleet, more snow, more ice, and it continues.
Shoveling is our new family past time.

We traveled to Utah between snow days and surprised
Kailey and Erica's family for Christmas.

Then Ryan and Kailey surprised us all with an engagement ring!
Wedding is set for April 8th, 2017 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Parker turned 15 years old in January!

Know what he wanted for his birthday? ....
This, folks, is a Nissan GTR.
"It's only $101,000, mom."'
I love that he has big dreams!

Know what he got for his birthday?
Steak and bowling. (Something more practical for a 15-year-old).

We are blessed to live in a time of modern conveniences like heat, electricity, snow plows, and warm water. It's been a lot of work, but we've seen our community come together to help each other in a way we don't get do very often. It's great to pull together and make our little world a better place.
No use complaining about something we can change...like 14 ft of snow!
