Family Getaway to McCall

Every once in a great while, we take a break from work.
We were overdue and accepted an invitation from our friends to join them in McCall.
What a fabulous idea and a perfect time to go.
It was surprisingly warm for McCall, where in October & November it is not uncommon to see snow on the ground. Fortunately, there was no snow and the temperatures were in the 50-60's.
So we golfed and took some amazing pictures!

So fun to have Todd and Anne as friends!

If you open your eyes, it's easier to hit the ball.

In real life, they love each other.

I think by this point, my fingers were numb.

The highlight of the night for Parker was driving the cart!

And the landscape couldn't have been more beautiful for the game.

Did you notice all the green and the absence of snow?
This is my kind of golf!

-----THE NEXT DAY-----

Watch us push this rock down into the lake.
What lake?

Payette Lake.
I couldn't have asked for better lighting.

District Soccer Game!

Soccer is his world!
Two years ago Caden had to stop playing due to severe injuries: stress fractures, ACL sprain, and tendon pulls on the growth plate of his heel. All caused a great deal of pain. I'm not sure what pain was worse for him - playing or not playing.

With determination to give it another try after playing on an indoor winter team, Caden worked hard during the spring and summer to get ready for the fall season in high school. He worked out twice a week with a sports cross-fit trainer and then played practice games with those who wanted to try out for the high school team. It all paid off! He made the JV team as a junior and was so thrilled to be back on the field with his teammates who he'd played with his whole soccer life when he was younger.

These pictures represent heart, will, and grit to be his best. I can even put into words how proud I am of the efforts he made and what it means to me to see the smile on his face as he chases the ball down the field!  Keep your eye on number 19!

And the people who love to watch him...

Thanks for all the great pictures, Rick!
I treasure these moments.
