PARKER'S ARROW OF LIGHT CEREMONY

All scouts know that they couldn't have "done it"
without their moms.

This is Parker giving me my pin for being his Akela leader at home.

Parker takes scouts so seriously!
Most of the time is the life of the party...too much life sometimes.

Parker's journey from being a CUB scout to a BOY scout.

He's crossing the BRIDGE from one to the other...

...Where he is greeted and welcomed by his new BOY SCOUT leader.
Congratulations, Parker!
We are so proud of you for the young man you are learning to become!

A New Year with Jack Frost

For all you photographers out there who think your camera knows best...  NOT!

Both of these pictures were taken on the same day at the same time-  7am before sunrise.
This one was taken on the "Night Scene" setting of my camera.
It would be great for special effects if I wanted it to look like night time.

This picture was taken on my "Shutter Priority" setting with an ISO of 200, manually set.
This is the MORE ACCURATE PICTURE OF WHAT THAT DAY LOOKED LIKE.
Beautiful!

These MACRO shots are my favorite.
Our poor tree was covered in light snow and a freezing frost.
I'm so grateful for my warm house and gas heat!
HAPPY WINTER!
