This is the Old Town Trolley.
We toured around Old Town for a couple of hours,
ate lunch at the Old Town Mexican Cafe (and later dinner),
and visited the Mormon Battalion History Center.
It was an interactive tour of the 800 mile march that 500
Saints took from Iowa to San Diego to fight in the Mexican War.
No battles were fought, but they learned the skills they
needed to build their homes in the Salt Lake Valley.
The Hotel Del Coronado was impressively large.
And because it was built in the 1800's, it's decor
and furnishings fascinated me. I felt like I was on
the Titanic as I walked the hallways.
The beaches were a cool and breezy 70 degrees, but
the sand was a warm, sun-baked 85 degrees.
The toes were in heaven!
